Becky Bay
Psychiatrist, MD, MPH

A binnacle holds a ship's compass and keeps it stable and safe while the ship pitches and rolls. I know the world can be stormy, and strive to provide patients with the care and treatment they need to weather even the roughest patches and move towards calm waters.

I chose to name my practice Binnacle Psychiatry because this represents my treatment philosophy: meet people where they are, assist them to identify their goals and provide a safe and steady harbor for them as they journey towards their goals. I offer medication management, therapy a combination of both and TMS.

I have a special interest in helping patients thrive thru life transitions. Special strengths are treatment of PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and addictions. I work closely with your doctors and therapist to ensure you receive the care you deserve.

We offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to patients with treatment resistant depression. TMS is a non-systemic and non-invasive FDA certified treatment. Treatment occurs in office, 1/2 hour daily (M_F) for 4-6 weeks. Patients are safe to drive themselves to and from the treatments.

We also offer Esketamine for treatment-resistant depression (TRD). We use the SPRAVATO brand of nasal spray for Esketamine treatment. The treatment is in office under physician/staff supervision, patient administered and usually takes 2 hours. We do most Esketamine treatments on T and Th. Patients need someone to drive them to and from the office as Esketamine can cause sedation/disassociation.
